Seems to be the worst summer to date. It's not very warm, it's not very sunny and it's not very windy. Cold weather and rain... no mater who you talk to, everyone is wondering when summer will arrive.

Finally a nice weekend and we head down to French Narrows on Lake of the Woods to visit some friends. Of course the kids take over the cabin as soon as we set sail. We arrived in time for supper and a sunset, after which the kids paused long enough for a photo beside "3 Monkeys" before finishing off the evening with fireworks over the lake.

The ride home was nice but the wind died down quickly in the afternoon. What do you do on a hot afternoon when the boat is hardly moving? Take a dip off the swim ladder of course :)

Sailing season is pretty much over and we are finally getting a few days that actually feel like summer. We took this opportunity to visit Bare Point and spend the day playing on the beach. The kids had a great time with a small air mattress we had picked up when we were visiting New Smyrna Beach in Florida this past spring.
